Carl V. Dupré was born on June 7, 1965 in Cranston, Rhode Island. An army brat, he spent his early years in Kentucky, West Germany and Virginia, before settling in Providence, Rhode Island, when he was seven. Carl attended Windmill Street Elementary School, Moses Brown Middle School and Classical High School and was graduated in 1990 from Rhode Island College with a BA in Film Studies. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 with his wife Lynn, where he made a bunch of movies and two beautiful children--all of which he is very proud. In 1999, Carl's alma mater (Rhode Island College) inducted him into its Honors Society for his achievements in the film industry.

Carl plays director on the set of HELLRAISER VIII - on location in Romania (www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/ro.html)

This gothic horror mansion in Romania was the site for a good part of the on-location filming for HELLRAISER VIII. Parking spots were at a premium, but there were chills and thrills a-plenty inside. Carl chats outside the building with crew members in this photo. (Film is now completed and available at your local DVD retailer.)

On location for shooting BROKE EVEN in New York City, here's Carl multi-tasking. (As well as writing the screenplay, Carl was the Second Unit Director.)
